hey, i got the CE version of Factions but when i grab my rit and do /dance, i don't get anything special like back-up dancers. does anyone maybe know how?

No, CE's are not all delayed, just some distributors are running a little slow. Some places will have it tomorrow/today, others won't

maybe its a different /command? so you can do either the normal one or the backup dancer one. or maybe you have to wait until official release, which is very soon.

i saw a rits special dance yesterday they must have gotten their copy way early... there was a yellow light above the char and 2 spirit backup dancers.

Same dance - the back-up dancers integrate into the dance (hard to explain -you really need to see it)

It's not fair to say they use the same exact moves.
As it is, they are -back-up- dancers. They back you up, doing what you do, but giving you enough leeway to have the coolest look.
