Yes, you can buy factions from the PlayNC store right now. BUT their direct link from the GuildWars site to the PlayNC store isn't working.
What you do (if you have an account with PlayNC, otherwise create one)
Account > Sign in > Purchase Code > GuildWars Factions *worldwide
Submit and you're on your way.
The *worldwide edition refers to the North America - Europe version. I have no idea how people from Korea / Japan / Taiwan would order, try to check out the NCSoft stores for those countries or NCSoft Asia.
Have fun. Just bought my online key, download is streaming.
And on that note, it is recommended that you don't take this route if you're on a dial up.

But you can certainly buy KEYs (no box and no contents and costs the same price! ouch) for Prophecy through a local convenient store.

Thanks for the tip! I went all over the PlayNC site and didn't see anything that said you could download Factions, so I gave up.
It isn't clear AT ALL that you have to create an account first, but now I have, and I'm all set!

Sucks that they don't accept Paypal. I have the money sitting in my account to purchase the game, however if I want it directly on my debit card it takes 2-3 business days.. See you guys in Cantha mid-next week I guess

EDIT: The other thing to remember is that the game is constantly updated. What you get on the CD will probably only be 75% correct in a few months. You'll end up streaming again. The best thing to do is just backup to DVD every 3 months or so. That way you're never too far off from what is current.

Part of it is I have a huge game collection and like to have something "physical" no matter if the server's go away..
The amount of code needed c1 new from the 1st cd's is pretty big.
