PlayNC Online Access Key: For those few who were wondering

Yes, you can buy factions from the PlayNC store right now. BUT their direct link from the GuildWars site to the PlayNC store isn't working.

What you do (if you have an account with PlayNC, otherwise create one)

Account > Sign in > Purchase Code > GuildWars Factions *worldwide

Submit and you're on your way.


The *worldwide edition refers to the North America - Europe version. I have no idea how people from Korea / Japan / Taiwan would order, try to check out the NCSoft stores for those countries or NCSoft Asia.

Have fun. Just bought my online key, download is streaming.

And on that note, it is recommended that you don't take this route if you're on a dial up.

Just bought my factions key online - well time to ring the boss and call in dead )

I got my key literally 30 minutes ago and i never got that message. Keep trying, i'm sure they are releasing a set number in a 30-minute or 60-minute cycle.

It's annoying because I have to log out and back in every time... but I'm going to keep trying for sure. Twenty four hours is a ridiculous amount of time, I'm sure I'll get in before then >.<

Bah! it didnt work for me Ive tried every credit card but it keeps saying that i should try a different one, think its because of where i Live?

I havn't even gotten to the point where it asks me for a credit card. I get the same error every time!!

I contacted them just 2-3 hours before the release, after that I had to goto university, anyway, I got a response and I'm very happy with it.

I don't think it's possibel to buy just KEYs for Faction for Taiwan.

But you can certainly buy KEYs (no box and no contents and costs the same price! ouch) for Prophecy through a local convenient store.

Bought mine successfully from PlayNC at around 3am PST. Now they just need to let you get the preorder key online too. Cardboard boxes are overrated.

Now, should I activate through PlayNC or just add the key through GW itself? I'm kind of afraid to do it via my PlayNC account and end up with two separate accounts instead of a single Prophecies + Factions account.

ask support what to do, make sure you clearly explain them what is your problem.

Thanks for the tip! I went all over the PlayNC site and didn't see anything that said you could download Factions, so I gave up.

It isn't clear AT ALL that you have to create an account first, but now I have, and I'm all set!

Very nice. Now I'm wondering, is the displayed price in US or Canadian dollars? Currently Factions is at a $49.99 price tag on their website, and it also costs $49.99 in most stores here in Canada.
