Counter help!

With that new feature for guildies to 1v1 each other, it has been a little problem to try and beat the IW build. The one I am usually facing is degen + my opponent using Illusion of Weakness.

I tried Deadly Riposte and it works as a good source of damage, I just want to know whether there is a great type of counter-build against this type of Illusionary Weaponry setup.

This is a question that i've seen discussed in the mesmer sub-forum. Truth is your big beautiful armor might aswell be toilet paper against IW. As far as I know from what has been discussed everytime this comes up. A warrior 1v1 can't beat an IW mesmer.

Warrior can beat IW mesmers...
If u are sure that u are facing a IW mesmer come as a W/Me with Drain Enchantment When he uses IW simply removed it... or bring shatter enchantment, inspired enchantment.... ur choice.
There is no such thing as a build that doesn't have counter
