a bit confused about some skill changes

Savage Slash: increased Energy cost to 10; increased recharge time to 20; decreased attack speed to .5
err wtf? why a 10 energy 20 recharge sword skill? -changing it to .5 speed does NOT balance.... this skill is now completely retarded
why not make it a 5eng/10 sec/.5 attack skill as a slight beefing of swords to reward those who break out the axe cliche by allowing them to take savage instead of distracting b low

Power Spike: decreased recharge time to 12 seconds
i do not think beefing up mesmer interrupts was necessary, especiall this one that was key in adding additional damage to migraners

Savage Slash made it better...not worse.

especially if you are 55ing the UW. Bladed's are brutal with their Savages now.

Mesmers arent "big bad" damage dealers. helping them get a bit more in is welcome. Mesmers tend to give dmg in bursts that are easily healed by a monk.

I definitely understand wanting to change Savage Slash, but what I don't understand is why they left Disrupting Chop as is. Now Disrupting chop is the only attack interrupt skill in the game (that I can remember at least) without a 1/2 second activation time. I do think they went a little too far with Savage Slash also. I think it would have made more sense to either increase the energy cost OR the recharge time, not both. I don't really know what to say about the Power Spike change because I don't have much experience with my mesmer. I just created my mesmer when Factions came out, and I would have to say that I Power Spike pretty much owns. What was the recharge for Power Spike originally BTW?
