New to the Game, advice please

I am completely brand new to this game and am seeking advice. I have recently just left warcraft and am a bit overawwed by evrything that is going on. Could someone tell me a good place to get some add-ons from and also some general advice about what class to play and other general advice.

If you go to www.guildwiki.org they got a great section on starting off in presearing for the beginning guildwars player.

As far as what profession to play, warrior is always a great starting profession, but i prefer the necromancer.

first of all u can forget the addons. they are frowned upon and strictly against the EULA. its not perfect but the UI is quite costumizable (menu > options > customize)

in regards to what class to play, one of the great things about this game is that there is no best class they are all equal. choose whatever u feel fits your play style. dont be afraid to try a few out. it takes no time at all to get to level 20 so expect to eventually play several character variations

oh, and lastly this is NOT WoW. there are a few similarities but overall its quite a different game. for many reasons this is a far superior game to WoW, but if you are looking for another WoW type MMORPG you will likely be disappointed.
