Thunderhead Keep

I cant beat this mission.... I've tried it like 10 times. Ive Tried with 2 Trappers, 2 Nukers 2 Tanks, and 2 Monks. No matter what I do that last Jade boss slips by and kills the king.
Anyone have any tips to beating this god forsaken mission?

all of you have to stay up near king iron hammer. the mobs only come 3 at a time after the first wave.
just stay up thre and keep beating them down till the boss comes. (he is actually very weak)

Just stay up top right next to the king the whole time. Forget about the bonus, forget about the catipults, forget about the undead that are helping you. Just stay next to the king the whole time and let them all come to you. Personally, I did that mission with just henchmen and called the targets as needed. Only minor thing is I did it as a monk so I healed the king but the hench healers healed him too. Good luck to you.

Depends on the boss. Some are weak, but when I faced Perfected Armor, he(it?) gave me surpringly hard time. Elementalist bosses are easy to kill, Monks are annoying but harmless.

With my monk, I beat this mission first try. I never saw what any of the fuss was about
What we did was (basically), stayed up on the battlements of the keep having fun firing the innefective catapults at whoever was coming, and then we went and attacked them. If there was one group at each gate, we split up and we were still fine (although there was some running back and forth ). Throughout the whole mission, the king was not even touched

Maybe you should USE the catapults and have group of people in middle, and let catapult users tell you if there coming or not. If you dont use the catapults your going to have rough time, PERFECT ARMOR, and CLOAKED ARMOR, are not fun to fight agaisnt especially when other mobs are on the way. But however if you use the catapults you have 95% chance not facing CLOAKED or PERFECT ARMOR. Catapult users should be mesmers, if not mesmers, make them some magic class.

Whenever I played it, we usually have person on each side manning the catalpults and 3 people guarding each gate. The mursaat are so ridiculously easy that usually 3 people is enough to take care of them.

I've played this mission like a total of 15 times. I've been stuck there for 4 days. It's not fun lol. Sooner or later Im gonna beat it
derrtyboy69
all i did was have 6 ppl stand in the big opening, and one person at each set of catapults, and the 2 ppl would aid the 6 ppl group when enemies came

Like the post above says ^^^ But I'll expand slightly
The ways that I've done this mission have varied slightly, but in the end, the principle was the same... you need 2 casters to stay at the catapults, and the rest hang out in the middle behind where stonehammer stands, where the drakeriding boss was. The 2 catapulters at each set of catapults need to weaken the baddies as the roll up through the craters. Hitting them when they hit the craters sometimes will stop them long enough to kill them (sometimes). These two people are your lookouts, they need to call out EAST or WEST when they see something. Sometimes you have to choose the lesser of the two evils and hope that you can get to one before it gets to Stonehammer. But if your catapult guys are on their game, they will weaken the badguys enough so that if you have to leave a Warrior behind to mop up, you can.
This mission requires a team willing to work together, listen for trouble, and not get frustrated when things don't go exactly as planned. My guideline is how my group best succeeded, but you might need to find a different way.

Do exactly what Indigo and others said about manning the catapults, but in addition, light the beacons first. For some reason, they never went out for me when I went through here, the Mursaat simply were distracted by the flame and/or were owned by the catapults and never had a chance to get to the King.
Indigo
Oh yeah... I completely forgot about the beacons...
Good call.
