White tigers can be found in the petrified forest. I also heard talk of snakes as pets, but have yet to see that confirmed.

Ohh man...I know for a fact I'd annoy people after a while if I had a crab. Everywhere the group goes and every fight we get into I'd most likely scream, "CRAB BATTLE!!!"

Just thinking about it is making laugh so hard right now XD.

Red Pandas are asian and not bear like... perhaps we'll see those? The Prima guide reportedly lists a "Red Panda" quest, which could be the mirror of the Black Moa.

big black biker bird (or B4 for short)
tiger

I really wanna make a ranger first when I get factions and I always am looking to be a hardcore BM'er.

Well, looking at the strategy guide earlier I did notice tht one of the early canthan quests was to find a Red Panda for someone. I dunno if oyu can cap it or not. It may be a special pet for Canthans only (unless a Tyrian accompanies them on their quest). Even then, I'm sure sure its charmable as I didn't select Ranger as my permanent primary/secondary..

EDIT: It's not listed as a pet in the strat guide (only Phoenix), but then again it doesn't list Black Moa Bird either.

no.
all logic would sugest this is a very bad idea. not only will everyone want one (like the spider), but there wont be anything interesting in the game if you have dragons as a pet.

the closest you get is the Dune Lizard in the desert areas

The only Panda I saw was part of a quest with my ranger. It was hunting for a red frog. Didn't get to see the red frog either as I was fighting the crimson guard the Panda aggroed

The Phoenix Pet is in the Strat guide but I have yet to find it. I think its in the Palace as one of the NPCs talks about the Emperors love of them or something like that... Anyway I refer you to page 197 of the GuildWars Factions Guide Official GuideBook. ISBN: 0-7615-5383-5 Retail about $19.99.

Its not perfect but its lots better then the original Prima GW Strat guide... Better maps too... I still like these even though they get outdated are still rather nice to have. the core info is still valid even in the original printing from the first chapter... I just have hand written updates on all kinds of stuff in the old guide. it was nice to see a new one... WITH ROOM for update info too boot...

Thanks Arena Net for Writing this one for Prima this time. It was lots nicer then the previous one... and added to the lore as well with a very good story and background section...

Yeah that's true, I've seen one on the map leading to the first Kurzick mission.

Pet list + location that I've found:
Tiger: Outside Shing Jae Monastry
Crane: I encountered one doing the quest "To the rescue" on the Shing Jae island.
White Tiger: Outside House Zu Helter
Black Moa: Follow the quest "Beak of darkness" from House Zu Helter
Red and Blue crab: Somewhere outside Cavalon (Have only seen them in the FPE, as I am Kurzick and our alliance won't switch sides till a couple of months)
Phoenix: Finish the game

Concerning Panda's: I've only encoutered one during the quest "Search for the red frog", where a panda guides you to the red frog. It's already tamed by another ranger in this quest. I don't assume you can get them (Old Mac also has a devourer in Prophesies and there is no way to get them as pet).
