Tahnnakai Temple Quest Bugged?

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

I successfully got to the tempel entrance and was turned away. Then Mehnlo shows up and we are off to protect Nikka from the Afflicted.

I follow Mehnlo to Nikka and fight a few small mobs that seem oddly timed. After that I get nothing. The map is loaded with Afflicted and I tried to clear them out to see if that would finish the quest.

No dice.

Did I miss something?

After clear Afflicted, you will come back to Temple, talk to the NPC guard near the gate, then you can come inside Temple.

The problem I have is that there's no indication that I've cleared the Afflicted. Do you just kill the two or three waves of Afflicted and then go back?

I think something is bugged for me because the * on the map is still with Mehnlo and Nikka (not at the temple guard).

I had this exact same problem. I ended up getting frustrating and taking a break for a while. Guess I'll just try it again later and see if it works. Must not be completely bugged if a few people have completed it.

I'm going to try going with a regular PuG. I went with henchies and I think that might be the problem.

Turns out there's one last mob that is down the ramp in the water. They have to lured up to Mehnlo so that he knows you killed them. If you kill them too far away from him then the quest will never end.
