So you have to earn 10,000 Luxon faction in order to progress. I've done a bunch of quests and got up to 6.5k. I can't find anymore quests with faction rewards.

The only one left is the one outside Eredon Terrace where you have to kill 4 groups of Kurzick scouts, which appears to be repeatable and gives 400 faction.

Does Anet really expect us to grind this same mission 10 times to progress through the game or have I missed some quests?

Not really sure, I think you have to find someperson like "Alliance NPC". Look that up and check it out.

id guess the 2 competitive missions would be a way to get factions... UNFORTUNATELY, there aint ppl on them, ive waited 10mins and quit... (no opposing party found, reseting counter..)
