Altrumm Ruins and then.....?

Starting at Tanglewwod Copse the only place to go to is Arborstone. From Arborstone the only place to go is Altrumm. But what next? There are 2 zone portals, 1 to go back to Arborstone and another to go to House Zu Heltzer but I am not allowed to go through that one (though I don't know why). Sorry if this is a no-brainer but I am not the most adept gamer and find myself at a complete standstill.

i have the same problem too i have done the boreas seabord quest too and been to Zos Shivors Channel, which has the same type entrance into Cavalon as Aborstone and House Zu Helzter have, ive been stuck for like 2 days now and have no primary quests to do, i have went back and done lots of normal quests but still no luck, can anyone help?

Maatu Keep has another primary that sends you back into the sewers for a quest, and then to another mission.

Well I have no primary quest left and Maatu has non to offer me anymore, yet I still can not get beyound Altrumm. I have moved over to doing the Luxun areas for now, but this is what my map looks like so far. Anyone have any ideas as to what to do from here?

A women in Maatu will offer you to choose between the 2 factions. If you dont have that done just warp to towns and look for primary quests you may have forgotten.

I have revisited each and every town and found no further primary quests. The only thing i have gotten at Maatu was the 2 "Chart the...." quests but those are not primary. I am at a complete loss, anyone else have any suggestions please?

I am guessing you have not completed the Sanjiang Mission. If you have, then you either: skipped a cutscene which told you what to do or you missed a key NPC in the area that the mission ended.
It is also possible you did not compete the "escort" main quest properly (ie you went in too quickly before NPC finished/went in.
Try to not "skip" stuff which explains what to do at end of mission.

Thank you, it was the Sanjiang mission that I skipped. These Factions icons are too similar, and there are too many non-mission missions so I did not realize that it was a regular mission. thanks for the help, that should do it.

It seems I have the same problem. It's just that I cannot enter the Sunjiang Mission - the NPC won't let me and the draw bridge stays up. I don't have a main quest right now.
I'm gonna double check for missed main quests, but I can't imagine how that could happen.

i did the "city under attack" main quest, which led me there, and captain douschebag didnt lower the drawbridge.
if anet is going to block every goddamn entrance in the game, they better make it clear and simple what the hell you have to do to get in, because this is begining to get ridiculous.

problem solved, go to Kaieng center and zone to Raisu Pavilion, i did this the first time but never got a follow up quest, i zoned in a couple times and all of a sudden he had another quest for me in the primary quest line!

cleared whole way from sunjiang to xangqung...
got the guards...
returned them to the entrance was about 10m before end...
they turned around, 3mobs of afflicted spawned and they got killed...
one hour henchwork for nothing
