Improve Guild Scrimmage

I have been playing scrimmage with some guildies but our guild it's not big and only few of us like to do pvp. Atm we play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 but scrimmage only treats you like you are playing GvG (8v8). The map is too big and NPCs make interference. Maybe adding smaller maps like in the arenas would help for small battles.

It would be nice to be able to choose where you scrimmage from your Guild Hall, or the various RA/TA maps, or even some scrimmage-only maps.

The scrimmage wasn't quite what I expected. I thought it would be something where you just goof off and have a little one-on-one or experimentation or whatever with your guildies. But actually with the NPCs and the way the whole thing works, I may end up winning or losing the scrimmage when I don't actually want it to end.

The maps are definetly too big, i agree.

My suggestion is, to make sort of camps, arenas sized up to 4vs4(1vs1 to 4vs4 teams use 4vs4 maps). if ur going more, then the map should be normal, because then it is not that of a problem.

It's meant to be gvg scrimmage....

What you are asking is for team arena scrimmage

If it's really meant only for large scale battle like GvG, it shouldnt have the options to do small battles like 1v1, 2v2, etc. Because for those battles, the current scrimmage is weird (too big map, NPCs, etc).

its pretty obvious thats what its for, because its the only part of the game where if you fight and lose you actually lose somthing.

Why would you need 4 vs 4 scrimmage, you can just go into 4 vs 4 and fight with nothing to worry about. You can still do 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 etc...anyway, just fight at the flag stand.

I think scrimmage has the potential to allow a lot of competion with guildies and friends. Many succesful pvp games allow you to organize matches against your friends. This has helped them get popular. Guild Was was severly lacking this until scrimmage. This is a great ability that can have a lot of potential with more customization.

Many first person shooters multiplayer has been popular to the customization. It was a lot of fun gathering a group of people together and play Halo or Counterstrike. It was good to have different options to play each other to increase the variety and fun. Wouldn't you love to have this customization with Guild Wars skill choices and builds?

I think they need to let you at least choose map types. All pvp map types should be included. Also make a 1 v 1 map. The ascension map would be perfect for this.

Nice idea. However, they must keep the main map as it can be used to practice 2 base gank characters, and see who can take out the most NPCs. Can one get into the Lord Room, whiel the other cant? You find out with Scrimmage. You can also test 1v1 flagrunners, something I have really wanted for a while

/signed on the condition that it is choosebale which map you play on, and that the hall remians one of those options.

Allow the scrim originator to choose any GVG/RA/TA map. It's fun now, but limited.

1v1's are kinda silly imho.
Lets suppose you have a basic warrior vs a monk with pacifism/amity.

Scrimmages are supposed to be used more for Alliance games between various guilds of the same alliance since it's in your hall map. If you don't like the hall map, just go to TA and wait until you guys get matched up.

Scrims are just practice friendly games, if it's hosted in your guild hall then it should be played in your guild hall.

Well the point of 1v1 isn't to see who's better. It's to experiment with your build. That or just goof off with someone. I was excited about the scrimmage because I thought it would be a no-rules, highly informal, battle royal. Turns out, they kept it very formal with all the GvG rules.

We play 1 on 1 by just running both to some place where there's no NPC's, and after 1 kill we restart. It's funny, kinda like rock paper scissors, because you basically have to anticipate what the opponent brings (hexes, conditions, just plain old dmg etc). What would be cool would be some observer mode for guildies. We want to hold maybe a 1 on 1 tournament in the guild, and it would be cool if we could observe it.

What i wanted it to be was No NPCS and quick resurrection of the dead team, with NO Death Penalty - would be sssoooo much better for quick testing and fun battles.
The way its done now is also useful and im not saying its bad... but i'd really love to have the option to do it fast-arena-style
