a LOT of walking!!
The Great Al
who else thinks that there is an insane amount of walking during quests? especially through pseudotowns, with no monsters at all...seems like an excuse to just show off some graphics, but theres too many long stretches with nothing at all, except me wishing that i had brought a speed spell along with me

IF you are a Factions only player. Then, welcome to Guild Wars. IF you are not, then what in the hell are you complaining about? Walking super long distances has always been in the game.
calamitykell
Gotta agree with Omega X here. Get used to it.

As soon as you hit a town you can port anyway...unlike some games out there...

I fall asleep when I walk between cities and quests, I don't want to go those faction areas agian becasue I really feel it boring to walk so much.
lg5000
But it was fun.. checking out the npc's in that city.. appart from the bureacratic quests anyway.
Edge Martinez
Please don't complain too loudly about the long stretches of walking. It beats the hell out of a silly devourer popping up every four steps you take... like some other nameless game does.
LifeInfusion
If you ever played any other RPGs, GW is nothing as for walking.
Overnite
Yeah, I think that they forgot to put devourers in. Devourers will surely add a lot of fun to the long, boring devourerless stretches of Kaineng City.

I agree with OP... Quests in Wajjun Bazaar totaly pissin me off. There is like 20 of them and they all like "go talk to the other guy on the opposite side of area" and when you get to that other guy, he sends you right back to talk to another guy, who will finaly say "hey i dont have what you need, but you can still get your reward on the opposite side of the area". And along the way there is like zero hostile activity. To hell with that...
Sagius Truthbarron
I like the quests in Kaineng City. Though, I'm sure the 99% of you that skip every dialog box on quests wouldn't think so. The meat of these games are, storyline wise, the quests.
I'm not very interested in a 2000 year old demon turning over a barrle and finding 3 gold pieces. Use the walking to put your character into the situation of whats going on.

"not as bad as wow", well woope do lets stick that on the box.
I took all the quest in the first level 20 area, i soon abandoned half of them as they were all pointless "go there / kill that / walk back / then walk there" ect ect, it was so boring it wasnt funny.
