You might want to try monk, since you're gonna be taking plenty of damage due to the assasin's low armor class. I'm pretty sure most protective enchants will help you a lot (so long as there aren't any enchantment renders around), plus the extra healing options are never a bad thing. Hope this helps.

I dont think MO is agood combination for Assasin. Warior or Ranger in the other hand is good as long as u use ure shadow skill and critical hit combine with some stance or beas master should be ok. IS all about learning the mechanic of ure build. But Assasin is to fast for monk.

i Went with an A/Ranger. The combo works great with dagger mastery and Wilderness survival early on. Dont spread out the points tho, stick with 2-3 attributes. I have 12 dagger mastery and the rest into wilderness

Right now im using jagged strike, fox fangs, Death blossom, apply poison, troll unguent, charm animal, comfort animal, res sig

The poison + bleeding works great for finishing off anything quickly, and death blossom is great for mobs. Plus the pet is good for taking some damage and tanking a little since assassins have low armor and seem to be more vulnerable.
