CD2 wont install? wtf...

Hi, never had any problems before, come back to play some dear old GW and it wont load cd2. program stops responding, cant be ended etc. any ideas? never had a problem before...

I would gently wipe the back of the disk with a clean cloth. I've heard starting from within the disks center and working your way to the edge is the best way. Don't be too rough, though.

Lots of people have this problem, so it seems. I had it with bot the original game, as well as with Factions. Out of the box it crashed my pc 6 times. Then I tried another dvd player in my pc, and it worked...dunno if that was the reason though...

Strange. However there's no reason for you to need the discs, unless you have dialup (and really if you do, you should change). Just get the basic client off the website (or the net) and let it download all the content it needs - you can just leave it on overnight or something.

There's no need for disc 2 anyway...

You can just run your GW and let it download the rest of the files from Anet.
