Green Daggers: Daggers of Xuekao

Just found my first green in factions, and thanks to the game, it was a pair of daggers while I am playing an assassin.

It was found in "Pongmei Valley", between Maatu Keep and the south exit of Sunjian Distict.

Here is a picture and a map that tells you roughly where to find the boss.

Gilded skin.. cool. I was doing the finding the oracle quest, and for some reason, one 'ssin boss spawned twice. On the 2nd he dropped a 7-17 "*someone's* Butterfly Daggers" with 15%^always, -5 nrg, zealous, and i think fortitude. Bad skin, but OK mods IMO. I like these a lot better.

so are they always dropped by him?
Do you need to beat him solo or can you still get drop with hench?
I have done it twice now and not had a single drop of anything off him.

Thanks for the info! Got the daggers after 4 tries with 4 Henchmen, but he should be doable with 2 or even none if you are a ritualist

finally got the drop after about 10 try's, with just healer hench.. also got me a nice elite skill

I tried it 5 times with me and 2 henchys, and I didnt get a drop

I did it about 6-7 times with a healer and an assassin henchie. No dice. That's enough for me.

Btw he caps Way of the Empty Palm, if I remember. Pretty easy cap for assassins.

Also in quest named Assist The Guards, deep in sewers is boss named Waeng which drops dagger too.

Does this still drop the dagger? I am at 20+ trys and no luck whatsoever ><

yes it drops, and its pretty easy to farm which means the price will only drop, if you leave from maatu keep and head east you can avoid most of the jade brotherhood (or outrun them if they chase after you) and then head back to farm

if you have the funds i suggest buying a few cantha keys since there is usually a chest within a reasonable walking distance. if he doesn't drop the daggers, just port back to maatu and try again.

it took me about 2 hours to get them to drop, so dont expect them to drop right off. also the more henchies you have in your group the less the likely hood that they'll drop for you (more people in the party that aren't actual players, henchies do have an effect on drop rate in the same way that you 'split' gold with them)

my suggestion is that you group with a few guildmates to do this quest and let them know you're doing it to get the green drop.

43 runs with a single healer henchmen and 0 daggers ;p I hate my luck!

and it finally tells me "if you continue to kill the first few monsters in a map then rejoin the map, the monsters will stop dropping loot as often..." I give up, anyone have these daggers for sale ? ^^

@Iceyx: if u kill him 10 times in a row, just stop.... he wont drop them u need to run through the whole map kill everything, amybe go do a mission... and then he will have loot again


@varous other ppl: NO HENCHIES! they screw up what drops you get, and how often, and how good.... best to learn to solo em
