I was reading the GW-factions FAQ and I got the impression that if you did not link you accounts your old chars would be able to go to cantha, but your new chars would not be able to go to Tyria. Is this right?

And I have just installed the game and if do not link right away, is it impossible to do it later?

Yes, if you don't link your accounts, you will miss out on some of the skills that Factions or Prophecies specific, as well as the PvE areas.

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED fACTIONS USING A DIFFERENT EMAIL IT IS ALREADY TOO LATE TO MERGE THEM.

THE FACTIONS KEY HAS TO BE ADDED TO THE EXISTING ACCOUNT FOR TRAVEL EITHER WAY
