When I first started playing Guild Wars the first armor I saw was 1.5k Knight's.
It was then a goal for me to get that armor, then I got 1.5k Platemail instead.
Then a friend pmed me telling me all about FoW Armor, I googled it and saw how awesome it looked. To me, FoW Armor makes all other armor look like shit. Now, even with Factions newly detailed armor I bought Obsidian(FoW) Armor instead, but Warrior 15k Kurzick looks cool too. Still.

I used alot of my dye collection to get the Kurzick 15k just right. It's very hard to dye. The default color is gold, so don't waste your money on "gold" dye. I had another guy in LA ID1 that said his was dyed gold-so I used remover on mine and stood next to him and the armors looked EXACTLY the same.
I started with all silver dye, which I liked, but many other people thought it looked stuipid.
Then I dyed it all black, and it looked worse than silver. Most other people thought it looked stuipid too, but a couple thought it was "uber" because of the whole "I'm leet cause my armor is dyed black" mindset. It was then that I removed all dye from my armor (goodbye 50k+) and compared it to the other guy's "gold" dye. I then tried blue dye and it looked awful. I didn't even waste my time on green dye or purple.
Right now I'm using yellow+orange and it looks the best so far. A nice brownish color seems to work best and from what I've seen so far so it matches the patches that are on the arms/shoulders/scalp.
Also weapons are a pain as some just don't look right at all. Fellblades look stuipid with this armor. Mammoth axes look decent. You need something that is beefy but matches in color. I bought a long sword last night and it looks a ton better. I'm using a Tall shield (again dyed yellow+orange) as well and it looks pretty good. My Eternal shield doesn't look that great honestly but I guess that's a matter of opinion as well. I think an Exalted Aegis would look pretty good although I'm not a big fan of them.

I'll post some screen shots tonight and you guys can be the judge. I'd love to get some more opinions.

I'm currently looking for the 15k Kurzick, and I think that I might dye it that or even a Yellow+Yellow+Orange just to see if it comes out even lighter.
As for the weapons, I agree it is very difficult to get a weapon that matches. Maybe Victos Blade (or a shadow blade) might look good, although they are kinda short. I'm interested in maybe dying the fellblade colors and seeing what it looks like together...maybe a nice black or yellow-orange to match your dye?

It doesn't seem to do much to the long sword besides on the handle, and the felly is so dark anyways you can barely tell the difference.
I'm not sure a shadow blade would look good because it's too small, but the color of the blade might match the armor a little better.

Yeah can you imagine what a -2 stance -2 enchanted Zodiac would run me? lol I'll stick with the Tall for a month or so...

At one point the dev team told one of the fansites that Cantha armors did not have universal stats. If you wanted the -2 reduction from knights armor then you needed the full set, not just one part. Have they changed this? Personally, I think drok knights gloves with 1.5k Kurzick armor looks great. For a purist though, this could be a big deal.

As I said in my above post though, that would be pointless. One of the devs, in a fansite interview, stated that Cantha armor does not have universal effects. So, Kurzick knight gloves would give me -2 dmg if the blow hit my hands only. Tyrian (Droks) knight gloves give me -2 regardless of where the blow lands.
