Charming a Bear

Hi all I am new to GW. I am a Lv7 R/Me , I've been trying to charm a bear but they keep breaking charm spell is there something i can to stop them from doing that?

Bear's are uncharmable in the "newbie" portion of the game. If you want a bear as a pet you will have to wait till you get to a place called "Beacon's Pearch" and can head into Lornar's Pass. There are charmable bears there.

Edit - I stand corrected about Bear's in pre-searing. Although last i'd read they had been made uncharmable. Guess that info was incorrect.

Use search, there are guides out there. It takes 2 people. You can charm bears in Pre-Searing you and the other person just need perfect timing. Bears are the worst pets to have, their slower than other pets.

I charmed mine yesterday, by following what people did in this post.

Took about 15 minutes with my friend's lvl 2 monk doing the aggro-ing.

Ok TY for info . what is the best pet to get then? Also what is elder, unevoled, dire, playful and envoled mean? Like i said i'm a newbie !

The front page on this forum has some very good information. All other pets but the bear are the same. Read the guide for other info. Personally, I always go Warthog.
