Weapon Mods.

This is simply to get opinions on what strings and grips go well together.

What Mods are on ur bow and how does it influence ur build?

Ill start off:

I think bow grips of shelter, defence, and warding are better than fortitude. Like why take extra health if it just prolongs your death. Defence grips are good because, well, u wont need extra health if ur taking less damage.

Strings. I hate them all. Except the poison string (cause i like running conditions) or vampiric on few occassions. The new crippling string seems great too. It brings pin downs duration up so that iot isnt a waste of 15 energy.

What is ur opinion?

Strings - Vamp, Zealous and Ebon

Grips - Fort and Defense

Why ebon? Doesnt have conjure X. Well then again theres not many ppl who use armor vs earth. but theres still rangers with +elemental armor vs all elements.
I also dont like zealous. It takes down regen but only to replace with 1 energy per hit. U gain more with 3 regen then 1 energy per hit. Unless u use barrage. Which still isnt that great compared to vampiric which can heal u well while do extensive damage with brrage.

Considering most bow attacks are 5 or 10 energy. Zealous at 14 Exp = either 25% or 50% decrease in cost. Not to mention it gains energy quickly with a shortbow.

For the best damage possible, it's Vampiric + Marksmanship Grip. Other builds will vary.

Depends on bow, what you intend to do etc.

My "Default" bow is a Sundering Compsoitebow of Fortitude

although I do have

Vampiric Shadowbow of Fortitude
Poisonous Longbow of Fortitude
and
Zealous Shortbow of Fortitude
