Nah, the 4 mill exp would be from Faction Farming (outside Lutgardis).

2k exp per run
400 Faction
125 gold

Assuming that Firefly farmed outside Lutgardis, after 2.5 mill donated, it works out to be:

6250 runs
781k gold
12.5 mill exp

If he hadn't put it into the guild, he would have made another 3-4 million gold.
