I'm mostly interested in the protective icon's worth

Personally, I don't think the Prot Icon will fly high.
it has a high prot requirement, yet protection is a line that usually doesn't need 12 in it to reap the benefits. Most prot skills work also fine at 9.
Also the +1 protection is a so-so bonus imho.

I would say it isn't worth more then 2k, maybe less.

1. i would salvage, few chances some people are gonna buy it for a lot...
2. 3-4k imo.
