Reading some archived thread here, a question has rissen.
Just got a second GWP account for mule storage. Naturally I just trade between the 2 accounts, sometimes for 100k, 30-40 ectos, etc.
The mentioned thread I'm talking about mentioned a guy that was banned due to the fact that he was suspected in getting / selling gold and equipment for real cash.
Now, I assume that when you're getting cash from an ebay guy it goes like Trade -> 100k on his side, 0 on your side and accept. If ANET monitors this kind of behavious, I could be counted in as a gold / cash trader, thus being permanently banned.
Your thoughts / experience? Another way to act maybe?
Thanks.

not sure i understood exactly the point here, but i can tell that mule accounts, used for personal storage or to sell stuff, are both against the eula and a.net used to ban them both

Sorry if being unclear.
I don't trade gold or equipment for real $$. I just need extra storage for gold and equipment i've earned in my original account.

I guess if you just want to avoid them spotting you, trade something worthless when you move 100k across. After all, they cant actually ban you for ripping someone off. So instead of it being trade 100k--->nothing, its trade 100k---> charr carving

Not 100% sure but the way they work but must be something like Mr.Ebay trades 100k today 3x, next day Mr ebay trades 300k 2x, following day Mr ebay trades 100k 4x etc… so they monitor Mr ebay account and check how many times this Nickname or even account just trades large amounts of gold in short spaces of time. And may ban then together with the people that traded gold with them.
Another way is Anet buys gold from EBay and they monitor this account movements together. You may call it entrapment but oh well police doest it all the time.
I myself have 2 accounts and from time to time I trade some gold or even some weapons, now I would be well piss off if they banned my account cos I am trading my items back and forward, if they don’t want that they let accounts be merged and no more back and forward trades.
Ps Mr ebay is a made up nickname, if there is a Mr Ebay ingame delete it

There wouldn't be a need for storage accounts we weren't expected to share that tiny little storage across 6 characters. If they want to stop mule accounts, they need to fix the problem that causes them.

I seriously doubt it is against the EULA. It is a income source of ANet because a lot of serious PvErs and PvPers have 2 accounts.

many people have storage accounts (i have 2) and as long as you simply trade between your own accounts you are safe.
the trouble starts when you use a storage account to hoard and then dump it to a tagged ebay account.
there is NOTHING in the EULA about multiple closed trades between accounts.
EXAMPLE
5 family members play together and trade between themselves like mad.
ANET is going to ban them for playing together?
guild leaders having a storage account to store things the guild needs?

Im sure one of the 1st logged things beside character/account names in a situation like yours would be IP address, considering both your accounts come from the same IP I highly doubt they would suspect you of anything bannable. Besides almost everyone I play with has been doing the same thing as your for the past 9 months, as I have.
