I do farm Trolls with my warrior and do alot of Tombs B/P runs recently...

Atm its things that can Knock me down... I dont know why.. But Thundra giants, Sand giants, Hydras, sand wurms, Sand elementals.... All kind of stuffs that can knock me down No idea why.. thats just what i farm atm .. (using 55-monk)..

Ettins and trolls, as both actually give drops helpful to equpping characters (clean max ritualist staffs are useful these days, and of course so are crafting items).
SF because my wife loves to go there.
General desert stuff sometimes.
Just did one run farming Nolani gargoyles, because I wanted some skulls for belt pouches for my new Cantha characters. Even better, I got a black dye drop.
Best to mix it up rather than focus too much on one place, because of drop quality (maybe) and boredom (probably).

I like solo FoW Forest runs, easy once you get the hang of it. I also do solo IDS runs a lot.

It appears to me that you get more (particularly green in SF) drops in a 2 man farm than a one man.

is it me or have the drops in troll cave got better? over the last day or 2 i have seen at least 5 golds and a good 10+ purple.

An easy two man SF is W/n(With solo build) and Necro/monk(SS, Hex removal, healing seed) or Mesmer/monk(Shatter hex, healing seed,Healing hands).

Ettins (note -- kick the pig to get the most ettins)
Sand Elementals, or a mixed desert run that starts with Sand Elementals
Minotaurs
Hydras -- well, actually, I haven't farmed them for ages
Salving Cactus -- I needed the seeds, and a guy actually gave me a TON for 5 seeds while I was farming them myself
Mergoyles outside Gates of Kryta (with submaximum character who needs XP)
Titans
Nahjpui Quarter mission
etc.
That's solo farming, mainly with earth elemental builds.
For group farming I've mainly done SF, except when the Scarab Queen was new, as a fire elementalist.

w/n stance tank and e/mo nuker/healer - it takes a while and recently we have gone a threesome with w/n (or W/R) ele and mo. In any case we've seen more good drops with more than one farmer involved
