Is there a benefit to Guild Hall NPC's??

Just so you all know... I did search and couldn't find a topic on this already. lol Not to say there isn't one.... I just couldn't find it.

Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone has noticed any benefits to having the new Guild Hall npc's other than the convenience of just having them there and close together???

For instance, does the guild hall skill trainer have all the skills? (like the Emper Light Camp skill trainer) Are the material traders (materials, rare materials, dye, runes, etc.) all linked to the standard market?? -- I would assume yes on both of these, but just wanted to check.

Thanks!

the material-, dye- and rune trader are all linked to the rest of the market.
the skill trainer only trains core skills (hes worthless, by the time you get a guildhall you will have had a chance to buy all these multiple times anyway)

i think all of these are useless except storage and priest of balthazar, they help while GvG'ing, its easier to go unlock stuff with factions in your guildhall, than going to another place and having to reform the group afterwards.
and the storage is the same, allthough not as usefull, most of the time if you have to swap items you need to swap your entire build anyway.
its nice for guest-inviting people though, when you need those 100 gold on a PvP character

for all PvE purposes, they are useless.

Thanks! I was really leaning towards the skill trainer.... now I think we may just do storage and merch. :-)

To be honest, I don't really see the point of them. Sure, it's kinda nice, but it's nothing that five seconds of transit can't get you. I "ordered" my officers to buy up the NPCs for me. They refused on the grounds that they were useless, and I didn't press the issue.

They are just a luxury, a convenience. The merchant and storage are useful for our PvE guild since I have materials and collectors storage characters, with overflow to the account storage. They are basically parked in the GH and that's where people go to deposit or withdraw materials or collector items so having storage there is handy.

A guildie bought a bunch of the lower priced ones, just cuz he could.

We are forever using the guild NPC's for Storage & Merchant. We are forever exchanging weapons, materials, etc... from guild mate to guild mate. Or just a nice place to go that isn't crowded that is always there I can go to move things around, salvage stuff after a bunch of missions, etc... Very useful.

Another nice aspect is that the GH is international with no districts so makes such exchanges nice, or just for meeting up with guildies in general.

My guild went a little crazy and got a new Factions guild hall, and all of the NPC's in it except for two, which 2 of my officers plan on getting once they get back up to 300k.

my guild bout a ton of them i think were only missing three i believe were also buying a new guild hall also. i really like the balthazar there so i dont have to travel to RA and it saves time. i also like to look throu the new skills while were waiting for ppl to spend faction. i havent used any others besides the storage but i cant say no 1 else has.

I kinda like the fact that our guild hall is now the equivalent of a true functional town. It gave it more purpose... And made some things much more convenient instead of mapping allover the place for this or that... Its a one stop shop. Like LA or Marketplace, BUT without the annoying Spam you get in towns... Fantastic all around IMO. Heck its now our place for PUGs even. we just all meet in the Hall, and map out to where we want to go. Pretty easy... I give Anet Mega Kudos on that...

Can;t wait for some of the other services to pop up.

A secondary profession changer would rock.

I have the following in my GH:

Vault (Storage)
Merchant Trader
Rune Trader
Priest of Baltazar

I wanted to put Weapon but I am afraid guild members will blame me because they accidentally customized their Gold Max Chaos Axe Dmg+15^50% Health+30 Sundering 20/20.

I will put all those 100k worth of service also but i still need to earn gold. I only have 10k atm.

Our guild is size 3. Me and my 2 officers, one officer is inactive. So, I think my GH will be fun (hehehe)
