Jadeite and Amber are now available - scammers appear

Alliance and jade/amber vendors are now working. And as soon as they appear, so do the scammers and rip-off artists. :]

Just an FYI, anyone who's not in the Luxon or Kurzick areas yet please don't bother spending 4k-5k on a piece of jadeite when it's easy to get 1 piece for every 3 runs from Breaker's Hollow.

That's like the troll tusks. Never sell them for less then 25g. I see people buying them for 10 to 15 gold each just to run to a collecter and trade 5 in for an item worth 125g at the trader.

I once told people about the collector and not to sell for less then 25g each. Did it ever piss the people off who were buying. One guy kept pming me that by telling people they were getting ripped off it was improving his buiseness. I didn't bother telling him that I was watching him and noone was running up to him and he wasn't moving. Then when he said he spent all his money and was going out to the collecter his character dissapeared. He either switched districts or went to another town but didn't run out to the collector like he said he was.

I say spread the word. Put it on every popular GW forum and when you see someone selling them tell everyone of how to get them for themselves. That guy may have been full of himself trying to convince me I was improving his buiseness but I got a bunch of pms from people wanting to know about the collector. I don't know where it is myself but a quick search online can fix that. I got so many pms from people that I don't think I was able to answer them all.

People will accuse you when they get pissed off but all that is is a desperate cry of fustration. They have been beat and they know it so they try to take the focus of them and put it on you. Kinda like a certain someone on these forums accusing me of using ebay. Not only have I never used ebay to buy gold, I've never been to ebay at all. Just someones desperate cry.

I'd like to point out that if a person buys low and sells high, they aren't "scamming" anyone. It's simply buyer ignorance. If someone wants the jadite or amber, and don't want to wait, and are willing to spend money for it, just how are they getting scammed?

which monster is dropping them and where drops amber

I have had an amber drop from a Mantid on the Monastery area to a lvl 3 char. I hope that this will continue to be the case, and we can expect rare material drops from the mobs in Cantha.

Amber and Jade are bought using the Lux/Kur Factions points too.
