Hi, my friend who got me into GW is having problems getting in. He recently got the Vonage phone service, and ever since then he hasn't been able to connect. It just hangs on the connect screen, non of the patches load, and none of the announcements show up to the right of the login screen. He's talked with Guild Wars support and they didn't know what to tell him. He's reinstalled, reconfigged his router and firewall...still nothing.

Anyone have the same problem in relation to Vonage and know how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

ok, uninstall GW, then reinstall, if you have a router you GENERALLY, ill repeat GENERALLY dont need a firewall because your router will take care of MOST, I REPEAT MOST things. go to their site, look up port numbers.

as for vonage, well first lets uninstall GW, then reinstall it, it just may be a conflict.

We have uninstalled and reinstalled it. First thing we did actually. I'm usually good at troubleshooting these types of things....

I was actually thinking about switching to Vonage, but after this happened, I am a little skeptical.
