FPE Characters still usable?

If I activate the account I used for the Preview event, will I still be able to use that character as a role-playing character?

I believe one of the news at guildwars.com stated that you could use the chars from the FPE, though they've been reset to level 1, and emptied, so they're just as if you just created them.
