Having completed the - Seek out Brother Tosai - quest, and taking the - Drink from the Chalice of Corruption - quest, I chose to drink.
That gave me - Masters of Corruption - quest.
I was wondering, what would have happened had I refused to drink??
Cheers. Tk
Drink from Chalice of Corruption.

If you refuse to drink: [SPOILER ALERT!]
you'll get a new quest dialogue window asking if you are sure... If you then choose Im gonna bring it to the emporer's attention or something then all the green am fah guys'll turn red and attack you... whether or not you live you just map to K ctr and turn in the now completed quest by handing over the corrupted chalice. I didn't even bother killing them all, just mapped back and turn in the quest (was Henchway FTW). Either way you get to complete the quest and kill stuff, drinking is more killing (and possibly more fun) I like waves of bad guys...what can I say.

i dont know if i'd say my hour of -60 dp with henchies fighting wave after wave was 'fun' but it certanly was more interesting than all the short missions i kept finding.

I was wondering this myself. I wound up drinking, and that definitely is the harder.
In fact so hard it was bugged the first time through. With henches, and my clueless how to make a Rit build, I died about 20 times before killing all the afflicted. Then the d00d wouldn't give me the quest reward!! So I tried it again, only died once or twice, and got the reward.
It's simultaneously cool being poisoned (because of the graphic affect) and not cool (cuz of what it does t you). Anyways I had 2 other quests in the Undercity at the time and did it all in one outing.

oh ok...for the easy way, if you drink go take all the waves (one at a time) on "side 1" out of aggro of the other side... then go do "side 2"... you'll note that if you stand back, each side is a distinct group and on each side the new wave will not come until the last wave is cleared. easy
If you happen to wait till both sides converge with the initial attack you can go run to one side and the groups will actually seperate.

I chose not to drink.
One word of warning. At some point during all the questing the An Fah become un-hostile. Green on the minimap. I've no idea what causes this.
If you choose to not drink, the next time you return, they will again be hostile.
Maybe they'll be hostile either way.....
They aren't so hard that you can't kill them, but you might want to save this quest for last, after you've finished all your running around hither and yon...

they go "unhostile" probably because you're training to become one of the Am Fah, and they don't want to hurt their new recruit...
just a guess.
just a guess.
