Presear Runes?

Is there any way to get runes in presear? I've looted several runed items, but so far as I know, there is no way to extract the runes without just taking the item post sear and using an expert salvage kit. Except that I thought I heard that a standard salvage kit had a small chance of successfully salvaging the rune - is this true or merely rumor? Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read.

Rumor, you need expert to get a rune, and experts arent avialable in Pre.

I've salv'd many minors and I have NEVER gotten the rune with it, so maybe if there is a chance, its so small that its pointless.

Yes you can, although as it has been stated, you can't use them because you can't get any expert salvage kit. Just head north to where the Charr Bosses are and wish you get some luck, that's where I got 1 minor rune once.

Charr (atleast the ones in Pre, and Postpre Ascalon) only drop upto Purple Armor. (major runes)

The ones involved with the Titan quest can drop gold me thinks though.

Yes, you need an EXPERT salvage kit to salvage a rune. The only way to get a rune in pre is from the-now nerfed-guild hall glitch.

For those who actually answered my question, thanks, I appreciate the help. That was about what I suspected, but it helped to have some consensus on it.

As for those of you who seemed to think there was a question involved about whether runes actually drop in presear, in the future please take a little time and actually read the post before responding. When you don't, you only make yourself look foolish.

And Chilly Ress, thanks for mentioning the glitch. I could have sworn I had seen someone with runes presear (hence why I started this thread). So it is (or was) possible to get runes presear. Now I know I'm not going crazy. Well, I guess that's debatable, but at least I'm not seeing things... I think.
