To be blunt, I think its a really bad system. If i were recruiting for a guild I wouldn't add my guild to a list which can't be 'bumped' to show whether the same specifications still apply and puts guilds likely long since deceased alongside actively recruiting organisations. I think its a step too far administrativelyt and i'd rather see a Guild Listings type forum much-like guild-hall, at least there you know that people are actually reading it.
The database lists only the 10 most recent guilds added, so after that guilds which posted their entry say last week are in the same bracket for the searcher as guilds which are long since dead. I think there is a good chance that somebody searching for a guild would be put off by the stale nature of the system and the way that there is no way of telling whether the guilds which were 'recruiting active pvpers' back in september are still doing so; or even exist. For this reason I once again propose a similar system to Guild Hall where the age of the entry and status of recruiting is constantly updated. In such a system people will simply browse the first few pages as those are the ones whose information is most likely to be up to date.
Not that this affects me, I have a guild. Its just something I don't rate about this site. =p No offense to the genious behind the guild database

Yeah, I've been looking through suggestions for the guild database, honestly we are working on updating for Factions and other areas of the site so I can't see changes coming soon.
If you, or anyone else, has some more ideas I'd love to see them and add them to a list of things we can do to improve that feature.
