Ok a lot of people have been moaning about the way factions has been put together, personally I have gotten far enough to judge, and I never played the FPE's.
But one thing Im loving, something that's completely out of Anets control, and something Anet have done. THE NEWBIES! seriously. At first I was dreading needing to baby walk the new players through how to play, but Anet have done an amazing job of teaching them the ropes in a great bitesize formula, yes it irritated and patronised me for a while, until I saw the bright side.
On top of that, from what Ive seen on the Euro English servers, the newbies are even more polite, fun, and team spirited than half of the veterans.
So to everyone who's having issues with the game, just think of the brighter sides that you can see until Anet catches on and fixes the rest, its not all that bad!
The nicer side of the expansion

what i've seen and liked:
- intro for new players
- faster skillpoint acquisition & levelling (missions up to 3 points, 3k quests in abundance).
- replayability value of missions if not fully accomplished pushed up (a measly 1k for the bonus in tyria was so-so)
- skillquests only at start of cantha (or so it seems so far)
what i've seen and disliked
- the intro (npc like mhenlo talking pop ups) can't be turned off.
- very limited control on alliancechat (option to allow guildmembers to talk into alliancechat please...)

well, the first part of the game and the first mission is all about teaching players how to attacks, how to aggro, call out targets, and other type of things that us old school peeps knew already. But you have to remember one thing, there are those who still act like a noob just to piss someone off. Or those who completely don't understand the concept of attacking, aggoring, and others.
