Use the Horrible AI to your Advantage

Ok so I just 3-man'd the Captured Son, Naga source and sentinmental treasures quests with me being the Rit/Mo (L14) and taking 2 henchies, the fighter (Talon-something) and the Archer. Its very easy once you figure out that the stupid and horrible AI causes every monster to focus their attacks on you as the healer. So with that said, I stayed behind an obstacle and sure enough they still all attack me....In fact I had over 10+ bad guys attacking me but doing no damage while my fighter and archer just picked them off one by one....I do the same tactic now everywhere and its nice.....see, the horbbile and worst AI ever in a game can be used to your advantage

Thats great if you are a healer, but how can you use this if you are not playing a healer class?

and what about the mentalists (mesmers) that love to degen you? and the warriors that will close to melee range and attack you?

its sad... but mesmer monsters are really weak...

Mesmers really don't do anything to me as a Rit/Mo that a single healing breeze or orison doesn't counter. Yeah the warriors are the tough ones but for the most part, there is almost never more then 2 melee range monsters in a group and a single Spirit is enought to stop them...Like I said, the AI is so bad you could probably 2-man everywhere on the island by just using the obstacles around you.....

This isn't a "pat on the back" to me, its just the realization that the AI is probably the single worst AI I have ever seen for a RPG style game....

I've found this to be true for other classes as well. I made a R/A and the mobs pass by all henchies to go directly at me every time until I die, no matter how much I run away or even Shadow Step.

The assassins are the ones giving my Rit a real hard time :X
