Spells changed without notice?

Howdy,

I was simply wondering if spells were changed without proper notification. I've been playing my monk some and I can't help but feel some of my spells are different.

I don't know if it's me simply being silly, though.

Anyone else feel this way, or can verify/disprove this?

Do you have any examples? Comparisons?

Is it possible that you were suffering from a hex or condition (without you knowing) that would somehow change the effect of the spell you are used to?

ANET usually tells us if there are changes in a skill, you could check the skill updates too.

I felt that way all the time. I think its because when we become rusty, or not do so well at one point, we begin to suspect that it is the skills that have been changed. Although your speculations could also be true, since recently there has been many, many a numerous updates... I believe its the illusion of difficulties that makes us assume the skills have been tinkered with.

Oh I thought he meant visuals, with which I would agree with when I also started seeing auras all of the sudden (yay old GeoForce and directx9) even if it took a year lol (didnt know unnamed Ettins even had a glow in Frost Gate)

Functionally though... umm.. you'd have to get into some hard data.

Hum.

Either RoF or Guardian, for instance. I'm not sure which one of them I think it is..

.. have both of them always had a recast of two seconds?

hmm, perhaps RoF may have its recast extended, I do recall it being a spammable spell.

Well we have had 2 or 3 little undocumented mini-updates since Factions came out.

This is a problem I have. I love the updates, but I wish they would tell us what exactly is happening. Last night they made it so purple and gold drops were displayed in purple and gold text in the chat window...Didn't notice anything else.

Yes they tend not to give you any updates or select ones. When Anet nerfed the Book/Keg/Gear trick (or fixed the bug), it was never mentioned in the GW.com update. Saw it on Wiki. Anet is SELECTIVE about what changes they plan on mentioning.

Makes sense when it's in reference to strategic things. If your enemy changes their game plan, after all, they don't broadcast a message to you about it.

Keeps you on your toes.

What? That doesn't make sense. ArenaNet is not an enemy, they're the Game Masters. The one setting the rule and explaining them.
It's ridiculous that they don't write about their updates, it takes 2 minute to build a new webpage and to publish it.

Next thing you know, for "strategic things", they'll hide the skill descriptions?
