Petition for Rune shortage

As a long time player of guild wars(since the first beta) i have played a lot of both pve and pvp. After the recent addition of the assassin and ritualist all of the runes at the traders have been always sold out. This is very frustrating when trying to buy them and they are sold out either when u click on the rune to get a quote or when they do not show up at the trader at all. Also people don't even have many of the runes that you can buy because of the drop rate that should be changed. I and many others have spent hours spamming WTB any ritualist or Assassin rune with no responces due to the drop rate of these runes. If you feel that the amount of ritualist and assassin runes should be increased so that you can accually purchase them please sign this. Thanks

/not signed - I suspect the same amount of Rit and A runes are dropping as any other profession - its just that people are using them - not selling them. Instead of wasting hours spamming WTB - try playing the game - you'll probably find some in drops. I have.

I too have trouble getting my hands on some assassin/ritualist runes. I have been playing the game a lot, and the only runes that ever dropped for me were 2 major rit runes- restoration magic and communing, and 1 minor absorbtion rune.

I've found a whole bunch of ritualist runes, no assassin ones yet. Which is aboslutely fantastic because I play an assassin

Anyway, I've got two minor restorations, a major channeling, and a major communing.

All these runes have been found by normal play, by the way, so no farming or anything. I suspect you just need to play a fair bit and just wait for drops.

I'm sure things will settle down eventually and the drought will be over. I don't think there is any real need to intervien. The truth is, runes don't actually matter that much in the greater scheme of things, until you get to highly competitive play. But the shortage is affecting everyone.

I wouldn't bother buying your runes from players unless you actually know a guy who has what you need. Just enjoy the game. My monk was a very effective monk, yet for the longest time never had a superior rune.

Really need minor or superior dagger mastery

As Undivine said, give it time. The assassin and ritualist are new so everyone has one and are working on them. In time people will either get bored of their new character or do all they can. This means more and more people will no longer be using the runes for themselves and will start selling them to the trader and/or other people. In the mean time just keep playing the game and you will probably find a few of your own. Since the drop rate of rares has increased, you won't have to worry about the prices of these runes being as high as superior absortion or vigor either.

/notsigned, its only like this cuz nubs go stock up on them right when they get to the merch, just wait a few weeks or amonth and it wil cool down, after about 5000 noobs quit GW after losing all tehy have stokcing runes.... one day people will stop stocking and tehy will reappear, fortunately they wont make gold stockign the damn things!
