Yes you can capture Gladiator's Defense there. It is the only place in prophicies where this skill may be capped(unsure about factions). You cap it from the Facet of Strength, it's the boss with the glowing aura. Make sure to pull it away from the starting area so you're a safe distance from the portal when it's killed.
