I just spent like 3 hours working on a warrior build to kill rotscale in majesty's rest only to discover its a jip......*sigh*
Any1 ever get stuff worthwhile from him?

If you want to farm for good items, I suggest not just going a long distance to kill one mob. It's a very big risk (but unlike keys, you don't pay to take this risk).
I suggest either Hell's Precipace (spiders and such), Ettins (gold armor are slightly risky), or IDSes at the Mineral Springs (still a little bit out of the way, but the rare item is still worth a considerable ammount).
You could always become a runner or chest runner if you find out you don't like monster genocide, all 3 ways of making money for warriors have their pros and cons.
Finally, back to the OP, I went after Rotscale a couple times and decided to leave him alone.
