Let's have a little competition where our pets fight to the death w/o interference from their masters? (Ie no skill using and no hitting other's pet).

actually i think it'd be better if you COULD use skills. First to kill the other pet wins!

it'll show the skill of BM's, not just luck :/

not interfering would show which type, if any, is better

its been proven that all pets are the same -_-. execpt for elder, dire, and hearty...

elder black widow = elder wolf/all other elders
dire phoenix = dire maobird/all other dires
hearty bear = hearty crane/all other hearties.

unless it's been changed in a recent update... the Black Bear is still the worst pet in terms of dmg output... as it's Brutal Mauling animation slows down it's DPS

so Dire Black Bear doesn't equal Dire Black Moa

yeah, the bear is pretty bad. They attack slower than the M. Stalker. Well from what I observed.

Problem is, using skills, I think it unlikely that a pet could kill another pet. Ferrocious strike + Essence bond + call of protection + comfort = very long battle

hmm, good points. maybe we can do some tests and see further.
