15k Dragons: sell or salvage?

I made a big mistake on buying the full set of 15k Dragons. I never used it... So, I'm thinking to sell or salvage it. What is better? I get like ~1k when I sell it to the merchant. What materials will I get when I salvage it?

you wont get more than 10 scales or some such for each piece if you salvage it.

I think the max I have gotten is 25-30 normal crafting materials, or 6-10 of the rare. You might make out better expert salvaging it, but that's a risk. But after you just blew 75k, what's an extra 1k to risk? (sorry, not trying to poke fun)
