Tyrians Exploring Cantha

I brought my character over from Tyria and decided with the introduction of titles I would intricately explore each area with the tenacity of an obsesive cumpulsive crack addict. However, I am now stuck at 91-92% because there are a few zones on the starter island that I cannot get into. The guards say that only "canthans" get the honor of going in these areas. Does this mean no Tyrian can be a grandmaster cartographer in Cantha. Say it so...........

Tyrians CAN get the 100% Title in Cantha. One of the mappers from another forum posted a reply from Anet as well as a screenshot of the title on a Tyrian.

I can't even imagine an area with .1% more than I have now, other than the shing jea mission areas :\

I can't remember exactly how and where it happened, but I was in a group and apparently the leader of it was native Canthan. After our mission was over, he forgot to leave the group and ported back to Shing Jung |sp?|. So my Tyrian has that on her map.

The highest % my Tyrian could get is 92.7%.

Update: The max is now 93.5%. Both Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry apply to this title.
I haven't explored Jade Quarry as of yet due to the lack of Luxons willing to fight against us Kurzicks. So the number should be higher.

Up to 95%...I'm missing some starter island stuff (naturally), Jade Quarry, the Arena Island (again, tyrian racism!).
I really don't see any more possible except for Jade, but I've been trying all day to get in there without success.

Could you provide a High Resolution picture of your map? I'm wondering what I'm missing.

Zoomed in? Or out. What I have that you might be missing is the Zen Daijun area, which I did while helping a canthan guildmate doing his 15 attribute quest. It's the only no-tyrians-allowed area I've managed to glitch into, though.

That's nothing special. All Tyrian characters can access Seitung Harbor, Shing Jea Monastery, etc. All you have to do is go to Kaineng Docks from the Marketplace, talk to the guy at the end of the pier, and he'll take you to Seitung. From there you can go anywhere on the island other than into Minister Cho's Estate and Zen Daijun.

Im also still improving the figure, up to 95.5% now since I've posted the map. I think I've completely stalled out though, with the exception of Jade Quarry (if I ever get in).
So, the map I uploaded will have a spot missing in Tahnnakai temple, and another in boreas seabed. Those have since been filled, and added another half a percent to my total.

Can someone who brought the Tyrian char to Catha and got more then 90 % opened post the pictures of the map. I think i opened everything but i have only 85.4% PLZ

I guess my real question would be, how do I go about grabing this map and taking a pic of my own so that I can do a good comparison?

Carinae:: No, you cant do the Zen Daijun mission, can't get into the town itself. Must enter the zone via the 15 attrib quest gate.
All:: What i'll say about how to get into that zone is to use the fact that you enter it from a TOWN, and not an EXPLORABLE AREA. That's the difference with this one It opens up fun ways to trick the game that aren't otherwise available

My character now reached 98.9%. There's still 1.1% of Cantha hidden from me and I believe it's at the Shing Jea Arena which is still restricted from Tyrians.

I have managed to get 99% even. However, I do believe that is just about the limit. Tyrians will probably never be able to enter the Canthan starter area(.7%) or the starter arena(.3%).

I made it to 99.4% and have only one tiniest of spots that I know of in the NE corner of Shenzun. Here is my zoomed-out map, 1280x1024.

You get it from the Undercity (it took me three different zones to figure that one out heh) Oh, and if it matters, I got my cardinal directions backwards and it's the NW corner

any clues about clearing that certain section, in Imperial Santum like where shiro teleports u to different place, sadly i never got teleported

In case some of you don't browse the other thread I posted this in...
This post has a link to my own Canthan map, based around a Tyrian having 99.5% complete (which I have yet to see improved upon). I'm not aware of any particular spot I'm lacking, so if you find something you have that I don't please let me know!
How to best use this map:Download it. It's just over 3mb, best not to open in a browser.
Open the image in the program of your choosing (I use IrfanView).
Open up Guild Wars in windowed mode (keeping the image still open...hope your PC isn't crap and can handle the resource management )
Open your minimap [default key is 'U'], and make it as large as you are comfortable with.
By using alt-tab or the like, swap between Guild Wars and your image viewer, adjusting the position of your minimap (click-drag) or the image, depending on your preference
Once you have them with areas that are perfectly lined up, rapidly switch back and forth (again using alt-tab or its equivalent) and note where the differences are (they should be easily discerned using this technique).
After noting where discrepancies are, move onto the next area. Drag your minimap to this new one, begin the lining up process again, and then repeat the rapid-switching back and forth.
Repeat until you've covered all of the explorable map.
Map all the spots you've found, and report back to me if you've found something I'm missing!

I have now 99.3% cleared with Tyrian character. Thought that last update would give a warming breeze to all Tyrians but it seems that lowlevel arena & dojo have some weight here

I'm at 99.2% with my Tyrian char now. I didn't get into Zen Daijun explorable area yet, and I might be able to get another .2% if some gates that are closed in the mission, are opened in the explorable area. Also, when fighting Shiro it looks like there are 4 banishment areas, but I only get sent to the one in the NW corner and henchies always get sent to the SW corner. I wonder if there is a way to get to the other areas, which would probably be another .2%. I still haven't found a group to full clear the north part of Tahnnakai Temple which might be another .1 or .2% after I clean up the edges. Finally, a friend of mine reminded me that if I joined alliances in control of some towns might clear some of the map for me. I think it might be possible to get 100% with a Tyrian char now, but it will be hard.

I was wondering the same thing, myself, about the gated Fireworks Master areas of towns...browsing through all the various ones, I didn't really see any that would allow you to reveal more fog, since they're generally surrounded by areas you CAN get to. The potential ones, as far as I can discern, are....
Saint Anjeka's Shrine, Brauer Academy, Eredon Terrace (definite possibility), Bai Paasu Reach, and maybe House Zu Heltzer.
I've tried the banishment, too, but without a party he wouldnt banish and with a party I was never the lucky one heh. Are those areas for-sure mappable? If so maybe I can get up to 99.6 or even 99.7!
edit: an affirmative on the banishment, got up to 99.6% now. But I only ever go to the NW area too.

So far there is no chance to get teleported to another place than that one little spiral spirit way in the final map...I tested this yesterday evening with henchies & friends and all variations between..
Might be a bug or those other islands are just for look *scratches & ponders*
