I been using this build and in a PUG for PvE it works great and is alot of fun overall.

A/N

dagger mastery:11
death: 10
shadow: 12
------------------------
Shadow of haste
jagged strike
Virulence (elite)
Vipers D
Shadow Refuge
Soul Feast
Well of suffering
--extra slot-- (cap, rez, plauge touch, etc.)

Shadow of haste is your friend here running in and tagging a jagged for bleed then follow up with a virulence for -11 degen spike. I target a caster/monk if there is one but it also works on a brute becasue of weakness. If you get in trouble on the initial aggro you can pop on vipers defense to cancel haste and teleport out to start.

Usually at this point someone is dead and disease has a spread a lil. you can run back in repeat a degen spike/put up the -5 well (which is my new fav skill) or just attack and heal as necessary with refuge and pop off a soul feast for a 200+ heal.

most damage is passive ovver time and its easy to stay alive as long as your aware of your surroundings.

the obvious weakness would be a lack of fleshy creaures.

i have found that return works well in here too but with shadow of haste and vipers after the initial aggro you can just run out if its a problem and well from a safe distance. Overall alot of fun and a nice amount of impact.

PS. it also works with a MM in the party since you maybe steal 1-2 corpses at most per mob =)

.cheers.

Is this actually effective in pvp? it seems very solid in theory but I worry that in pvp with no self heals you will drop like a rock, and even with good health degen for 12 seconds or so, is that enough to kill the target? I have been playing with a similar build on a builder mine is

10 dagger mastery
10 shadow arts
11 death magic

shadow step
disrupting stab
fox fangs
blinding powder
virulence
shadow refuge
well of suffering
signet of malice

It seemed redundant to me to have multiple poison and disease skills considering you spend the elite slot for virulence. This way you hit shadow step, run in on a healer, disrupting stab (hopefully a heal) fox fangs blinding powder all in about 3 or 4 seconds virulence then zap your back where you were 15 seconds ago shadow refuge during downtime rinse lather repeat. My 2 problems are, I need more healing skills, dont know how to get them without splitting points into blood magic which I dont want to do. Also, im not sold on signet of malice, given a better option I would probably trade it out. I dont particularly want another corpse exploitation skill though or I would take
soul feast. Well, all info is appreciated thx guys.

If health degen is your goal, why bother with the sin primary at all?

Why not? heh, its cool looking and stacking degens on a hit and run char seems fun. It seems like a class that excells at getting into and out of combat quickly would be pretty nice for dropping some degens and disease. Also, I havent seen any other builds I am impressed with, Sin burst damage isnt good enough to get in kill a target and leave regardless of your secondary. I am interested in a sin just because of how cool they are and the hit and run intense play style suits me. I just would like to find a build thats is not completely gimp.

Ok I noticed my build did not have bleed so I have revised it. I am really excited about this new build. It has ALOT of conditions that can go on fast and port out. I think this should be pretty viable, pick a soft target in the back I.e. a caster, shadow in do some damage and poof out.

Here it is :
Shadow Step ---zooom
Deaths Charge ---(if health is low and recharge u )
Disrupting stab --- no spell for you!
Twisting Fangs --- nice skill!
Virulence --- oooo 5 conditions baby
Shadow Refuge
Well of suffering
Signet of Malice/Res signet if you have to

Aren't you missing an Offhand in that skill listing?

hello again. Not for PVP just PVE.

its a simple basis for what an assassin could be opposed to a dmg/combo spike, you spike a bleed, weakness, poison and disease, in 2 hits then can followup with more mass degen and disease spread.

I like the assassin part for the teleporting and flexability as i can always change up the build to a traditional combo spike et.

no offhand because i didn't really find one that is useful enough in the build.
the secondary hit is always virulence then you get outta there after 2-3 melee attacks tops.

overall i found that the passive dmg over time of degen especially when its easily done over a larger area is more effective then the combo spike on one char.

plus its fun you rarely die and monks don't yell at you =) cheers.

That's quite a smart build for PvE as far as that's concerned. Quite possibly perfect...

Bleeding, Poison, Deep Wound, Disease, yuck...

That can easily kill an enemy in PvP even in late game when you consider how HIGHLY SKILLED [gak] their AI is in terms of removing everything...

Shadow of Haste into Viper's Defense isn't an original idea, but ingenious nonetheless. [in pvp, shadow of haste sins make me laugh since one Wild Blow gets them out of the fight...]

As long as your foes don't carry Wild Blow, I think the build would work like a sin supposed to.
