Well in Post-Ascalon (and Pre) we had still more missions than we could actually follow...but after Yaks Bend the (free) missions stopped and we just do storyline missions. There are no other missions available anymore. Why is that? So many areas and we just go for cooperative storyline missions? Why did the game start with tons of missions people in Ascalon gave you and now it suddenly stopped and we just do the storyline missions? I feel cheated. Is there nothing more than those linear missions anymore?

I think he means quests. But there's no way to be sure unless the OP communicates in an effective way...

there are more quests. Its just that those side quests are somewhat scarce until you reach the next city, in your case, Lion's Arch. That city should have buncha NPCs throwing quests at you, as well as the ascalon settlement if that counts. There are more, your just in a transitional stage. That's all.

Hungry Devourer is in Beacon's Perch or something, isn't it?

Yes, there continue to be a lot of side quests, at various points in the game.

They ARE more common up through Yak's Bend, because of the individual professins' skill quests. You got a lot of those through Yak's Bend, but after that the only skill quests are the ones that are available to all characters, and give you one skill each for whatever your profession happens to be.

(Single exception -- the quests for each profession in the desert, two per town in three towns.)

He does have a point though if he means Quests. It dawned on me a few weeks ago that once you get out of Ascalon there are so few quests. I just don't get why they got rid of some of them either.

Slay Rotscale, i've seen that quest around on some old pictures, why remove it?
Twin Serpent Lakes has a 'Tracker' guy in it who does absolutely nothing too, was he an old quest that they removed too?

Sorry if i confused anyone. With missions i indeed mean "quests". In Ascalon many NPCs had quests, and not only skill quests. Piken Square, Regent Valley, etc etc. Go there, kill him, come back and get your 500 Xp. There were times where we didnt know where to start. All that stopped once we reached Yaks Bend and now we just do Storyline missions, since quests are kind of rare.

I had the impression that the PVE portion of the game is somewhat unfinished since all the love seems to have gone into the first 1/5th of the game.

There are tons of quests once you hit Yak's Bend. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can pick up 10 or so quests from the city and area outside. There are tons of quests floating around the game, you just havn't found them.

Yaks Bend was about 4-6 quests, including skill quests, around 2 in Ascalon Foothills, 2 in Iron Horse Mine. One or two in Travelers Vale. Then it was kinda over. Compared to Ascalon this felt cheap.

Anyways i gonna check if this really is just temporary like some guys said.
