The 15% dmg mod axe that I want to buy also has -10 armor while attacking, and I'm planning to use this axe on a warrior, but my question is, should I settle for a +15 always/-10 defense while attacking or should I go for a 15^50 one?

What ever floats your boat, if you are going to go for -10 armor then get sentinel armor or something

warrior should be taking the least amount of damage as possible...if you are attacking you will lose 10 armor...more then 10% of what a warrior has...over a battle that could add up to a couple hundred damage, go with the 15^50 and remember you are a tank and not a mage.

Or use a 15% -5 Energy weapon!

I tend to dislike the -10 armor tradeoff for 15% damage. Especially on warriors -_-

imo it is never good to give up something for dmg the only way u will never be above 50 hp is if u have a bad monk or u get spiked with those new ele skills

Or use 2 axes 1 15^50 and one 20<50

i would say 15^50 is much better. You have more armor than the other, which prevents damage, which helps you keep your health over 50%... where you will be doing the same damage you would have been doing with the other weapon, only less dead

For pvp i normally chose the 15/-10 one for one reason, warriors are not usually the primary target unless youre running in iway. The softer targets will always be attacked first. Pve wise, the -10 armor doesnt affect a warrior that much due to several skills that will be in the party to help raise your defense such as "Watch Yourself" and various monk skills from hench which can be basic but will also raise your armor back up such as Shield of Regeneration and Gaurdian

Losing 10 armor adds 16% damage, so not maybe so great a deal...

No.

15^50 is superior for PvP. Warriors may not be tanks, but the high armor is there for a reason. They are the ones that have to extend through your opponents to reach targets. If you are a Warrior under 50% health you should be kiting back towards your own backline anyway, not attacking.

I'm a fan of the 15 always -1HP degen or -1energy degen mod. 15^50 is great too, and I run 4 different weapon/shield setups to change on the fly to adjust to whatever I run across in combat. the degen mods are awsome. Just slap on a vamp 3/1 or zealous haft and your set. Hope it sheds some light on what is best.

for pvp or pve, 15^50 is the best. If you pve, -10 armor is unacceptable aginst high level mobs; if u pvp, u will use frenzy, imagine how much damage u would take without the 10 armor. -5 nrg is not good, because u may need to run around with your weapons

with my R/W, I use a -5 energy axe but thats because I have expertise and with a zealous mod I never have to worry. For a warrior though, I'd probably just go with a 15^50 and a 15<20.

If your not usually the primary target then why not choose a 15^50? Would save you some health when all the other 'weaker' targets die.

I see no reason to not use a 15/-10. Then again that, 15^50, and 15/-5 are pretty much all the same.
