Prices of Runes Bugged?

I got Sup Rune of Healing Prayers from drop and i tried to check for the price in Rune Trader and it gave me a very low price. So, I checked the selling price and I noticed that all Monk runes only cost 5k below. The Sup Vigor only cost 38k and Sup Absorb only 17k.

The funny thing is that cost of Ele and Mesmer Sup Runes are 100g (same price with minor runes).

I wonder if there is something wrong with runes prices. Not long ago, there was a rollback due to drop of prices. I hope there'll be no rollback this time.

No.It is just that they are coming down in price thank goodness.I suspect most now are finding them through farming.

No that's the price, not many eles and mes so the price is low. Basic supply and demand economics

I hope it is just that. It's true that sup runes are abundant so maybe i'll wait few more days until Monk runes drop to below 500g. 55Monk will be a cheap build already (in terms of rune cost) I will also watch sup vigor and sup absorb.

But minor vigor is so hard to buy from rune trader. And it cost higher than many sup runes.

It seems to me they are altering the prices of runes. I cant imagine soo many new factions players and vigor and black dye has not changed in price at all...

they are dropping more runes and the same amount of black dye.

everybody wants sup vigor but the rest are build specific.

also all that new armor needs a new vigor as who is going to trash all their old armor hoping a rune will salvage the second time

They altered the drop rates, not the prices. Supposadly they increased the drop rates for both Vigour and Absorption. So far i haven't seen a single Sup Vigour rune, just a few Majors.

Absorptions on the other hand are out of control, almost every purple armour i find contains a Major Absorptions, these are now at about 150g, and gold armours are giving Sup Absorptions WAY too often.

If they truly did increase the drop rate of Sup Vigours, it would have gone down. But then again with the number of new factions players that would probably be buying a Sup Vigour for there character, it'd go up again.

I'm surprised its taken this long for superior absorbtion to drop to something reasonable.

Doh! I bought too soon. I got my Sup. Absorption for 27plat 2 days ago.

Luckily, I got a Sup. Vigor drop a while back, so I guess it all evens out.

The rune traders have been acting kinda wierd for me. The last sold price is usually about 2 times as large as the price they are willing to pay me...

I just can't wait for the day I can finally get the runes I need for my Assassin and Ritualist, without shelling out ridiculous amounts of gold. It would also be nice to be able to craft a set of armor from Kaineng City without spending ~20k total.

There is nothing wrong with the rune trader.

How about Minor Vigor Rune? It cost 250g-380g but they are [almost] always out of stock. Same with Major Vigor.

Does this mean there's more Sup Vigor drop compared to Minor and Major? (Ele's and Mes' Minor and Sup have same price).

Fat chance of the rune trader getting Superior Ritualist/Assassin runes any time soon in great quantities. No way I'm selling them to the trader, and I'm sure others feel the same way. He offered to buy my Superior Dagger Mastery rune for only 2k. I immediately said "screw that!" and easily sold it to another player for 15k seconds later (and that was low compared to what I've seen others selling runes for).

The traders never buy for high enough when they're low on supplies to warrant players actually replenishing them.

No, it means there's more people buying the minor and major vigors than people buying sup vigor. More people are willing to pay the 300 gold or 2k than to dish out 30something plat for 9 more hp.

Went to Kaineng Center today. Some guy wanted to buy Dagger Minor for 15k.. I knew the prices were high, but not that high..

bro - its 17k is for Superior absorption not sup vigor.

Well just want to share my 2 cents.

Personally, i think the rune price is coming down significantly esp on monk runes, sup absorption and all others too. The rest of the runes are not so significant as it always hoover ard 100-1500g range.

Well, why Sup Vigor went up is bcoz of one single reason - They are just too many ppl creating new account and alternatively the substitute major vigor is always out of stock so that explain why the superior vigor goes up! Price wise Superior went up highest to 43k couple of days ago and this morning is ard 37k. To be honest i think it will stay ard 30/40+ range. Bear in mind they are alot of delay on the CE account and Anet want to implement the extra charc slot so once that hit in, be sure that it will goes up again.

Ok as for why other Rune like superior for monks drop and superior absorption drop is because v simple reason. Most ppl include myself are clearing out their inventory (ie. any types of superior) for gold to buy extra weapons, armor, materials, dyes and also superior vigor as above too. Not many ppl actually like to keep rune in the 1st place unless its stackable. Hence Ecto are much easier to keep and price is more or less stable there (as for ecto, well tat is another story for another time).

As for drop rate wise i think i will throw this question back to all of you all - how many of u actually get superior vigor and absorption in yr whole charc creation till level 20. Not to mention those that play thru the mission of Canthan (though i havent finish but i m somewhere at jade quarry as we speak). Personally, i have never got a superior absorption if i play thru the game. So drop rate is still the same though Anet did explicitly stated taht it increase alot. well the chance is probably fr 0.1 % increase to 0.15% - LOL.

IMHO, those ppl tat have some extra gold and space, i highly recommend u to grab the superior absorption as this is the best time for you to grab it. Think about this - Ask yourself this simple questions below:-

- will those ppl that only buy faction will they create a new char ie. warrior (may be)?

- How about those ppl with exisiting proh and factions 6 charc slots now. Will they have warrior in 1/6 charc slot? With the extra slot coming say u buy 2 more. Will u create warrior tendency / possibilites becomes higher?

- Superior absorption is -3 dmg soley for warriors for the time being and without penalties. Wat other runes beside sup vigor will have this bonus? Ironicly, who know Anet will give this benefit across all charc? well this is abit far fetch for an assumption but can u tell me why it's not possible? As the way i c it is that this GW is all about choices and why not give us more choice

- Like myself i use major absorption as the price of sup absorption was 100plate and its not bcoz i cant afford it in the 1st place but i rather settle for the second best (-2 dmg reduction 3k major absorption when i bought). As the price doesnt justify for the additional -1 dmg reduction. But the tides has change now with the price dipping to 18k and with the new cool Kur / cantha armor - for once i think i dun mind to spend on my cool warrior for it

Hope it enlighten some of u. I dun think anyone have address this so far. Coz i try to search the above about it. But generally Rune price drop is a happy thing - dont u all agree? Pls add on if u think likewise

just a side note - personally i have 2 accounts and i have 2 warriors in both accounts (though another account are mainly mule)

Rune drops were changed, so more and more are flooding the market, almost too many, lowering the price dramatically. Im not complaining though.

Yeh, why don't they just make it so that when you create a new char, you've completed the game tsk. Imagine having to work for it, THE BUGGERS!

Well pls dont panic in another word - ask yourself how many times u have withness that the superior vigor and absorption went back to > 60K - i know i saw it a few times

So wat i m trying to conclude is i m not going to miss the boat this rd
