PVe - mionions better blown up or get fiends?

Ive been having a hard time deciding whether or not to blow up the minions i make in factions, it does get damage to mobs, which would always be helpful, but has anyone seen if it is more effective than just usuing fiends and beating the mobs down the old fashion way ?

An idea i was thinking of would be use vampiric horrors to help heal you, after you have like a couple of them you could probably starting bombing, or like my secondary is ritualist, i have the healing ashes spells, plus taste of death anyway, i wouldnt minion bombing be health energy and damage? It would seem like a perfect combo as long as you have people to back you up, since your guy is pretty squishy with high energy armor.

It just seems, if the afflicted wanna blow up on us, i say fight fire with fire and start a chain reaction, poor tanks though, they might end up dead too, but hey put death nova on the assasins that think they can tank

have you tried Animate Flesh Golem + Death Nova + Taste of Death then kept on raising the Golem back up and doin that over and over??

The Golem's cooldown is rather prohibitive of that.

you could use arcane echo :-P

or or u could use echo or renewal....but then u wouldnt have ur flesh golem =D

Why would a waste a golem for like 100 damage :P? i mean those things are super powerful, i would rather just keep it a live. I think minion bombing might be good, since it is Aoe damage in all

Ive seen my Golem hit attacks wich do over 100 damage themselves, using him for a bomb is silly.

Yeah they are good, vamp horrors plus bone golem and blood of the master is found early on

Why on flesh golem specifically ? does Death Nova get better the higher lvl the summon is? If it doesnt then wouldnt it be better to get a lower lvl summon to do death nova with, or even better the Bone Minnions ( 2 for the price of one ) for bombing?
