CHAT IS "BROKEN" IN GUILDWARS.
No matter what town you go to in Either Chapter, you see one thing in common.
The Players Are SCREAMING FOR A WAY TO SELL TO EACH OTHER!
At Prices Of there own Choosing! IN GAME
THIS HAS GOTTON SHARPLY WORSE WITH THE NEW RELEASE OF FACTIONS!
Everyone knows Sell High Buy Low (and they GOUGE WHEN THEY CAN)
Some Check Price Quotes Online at guru... many just make up a price!
The Unknown Variable of VALUE is HORRIABLE (its almost as bad as the "sell to merchant" price)

The alternatives are a little cumbersome and Semi effective
I have guru auction setup... but unless your selling Victos corpse himself..
Your SOL.
The user base mabey isint large enough ...and non-PERFECT stuff doesn’t sell well from what I have experienced. (Although it’s a great idea, and allot of work went into it)
IT DOSENT SOLVE THE REAL PROBLEM!

I have the Beginnings of a solution! (Feel free to help tweak it)
WHAT IF?
What if Each Player Got say 4 - 8 "Sell Slots"
What if there were a NEW TYPE OF MERCHENT / TRADER! in every zone
Who’s Function Was to List the FIXED number of "sell slots" Items from each player currently in Said "ZONE" for a PRICE PRESET BY THE PLAYER SELLING!
This Merchant Could Say Charge a small fee to list your "X" items for "XX" period of time.
SO .. Players can go to "new merchant" and SEE all the SUPER COOL GODLY NETO STUFF that was previously crammed down your eyeballs in chat!
They can See the Image of the item..
They can see the Stats...
They can See the price set by seller ...
They can See Average going price compared to Sellers offer (explained below)
They can Take or Leave Item at will...
They can instantly BUY... VIA "BUY BUTTON" (auto selling and UNLISTING item)
Now this presents a Unique Opportunity for A-net
Until now...player to player sales ...have gone Largely UNTRACKED
The "system" , has had no way to "monitor" the current trading value of items amongst PLAYERS ...quantity, price, frequency are all UNKNOWNS
Unless "THEY" are watching the insanity "they" call chat ...(doubtful)
This is a way to have an "average going price" "BASED ON REAL DATA"
IN REAL TIME.
You would know what the STACKS OF 250 WOOD sold at "AVERAGE over time"
Or how much BULWARKS are TRADING AT.
Without prices being fluctuated by fools selling at "WAY off prices"
Now that only applies to SOLID ITEMS
SOLID ITEMS being ...Greens, Mods , Runes , Materials, PERFECTS (i.e. things without VARIABLES)
the Variable Stuff I don’t see how any system can evaluate
Non Perfects (Gold’s) (Purples) (Blues) would have to be AS IS without AVERAGE QUOTE and based on SELLERS REQUEST ALONE (I would think)
Although...A-net may be able to solve that..If they put there well paid people to the test...(they have REAL degrees right?)

But would like feed back from other players and guru users!
