New Scam Warning
Bwsk8
I just realized it would be possible to sell account trial key to an unxepecting buyer and tell them it was a full account and don't try this because you could be banned.

Any keys sold for gold or for real cash is illegal keys or accounts. Why buy if you know it's illegal?

fiery
Well im not in the UK, and against the EULA which A.net stands by, if it's AGAINST the EULA it's not suitable for gamers who play the game.

My account ends in @plaync and it works just fine. :P
I'm not saying you should have gone through with it... but PlayNC does distribute legitimate Guild Wars accounts through their website. Just a little FYI

and yes this is not illegal it's a breach of contract and Anet can ban you for not following the ROC (below)
-------boring stuff u can skip ----- As of april 2005----------------
Guild Wars User Agreement ( http://www.plaync.com/us/help/eula_gw.html )
14. TERMINATION
a) NC Interactive reserves the right to suspend or terminate this Agreement immediately and without notice if you breach this Agreement.....
1. TERMS OF AGREEMENT
......"You agree to check this Agreement and the Rules of Conduct periodically so you will be familiar with their content as amended or modified from time to time. If you do not agree to the revised terms and conditions, you should contact NC Interactive immediately to discuss closure of your Account ...... ( so i do get back my 60 dollars?)
Guild Wars Rules of Conduct ( http://www.plaync.com/us/help/roc_gw.html )
10 You may not advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying, selling, trading, sharing, or transferring access to any Guild Wars account.
11 You may not advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying or selling items for cash or trading items from one server to another.

And to clarify my point earlier - under UK law it is immaterial what a company puts in their T&C's, EULA's, Guarantee's, Warrantee's etc as nothing can infringe or supercede UK law, consumer law or your statutory rights as defined by the Sales of Goods Act etc (well actually there is one thing that can supercede UK consumer law and thats EU consumer law which normally grants the end user even more rights).
Argen
Unluckily, if you will read the EULA they do cover something that is a bit scary... they force their customers to agree to abide by the terms, precedents, and legal codes of the United States, and especially the State of Texas, all it takes is for an EU customer to get uppity try to take things to court, and since ANet or NCsoft has no UK equivalency and no real assets in the UK or EU, than they just terminate your account, with no real legal repercussions. ANet or NCsoft would have to agree to appear in English or UK courts first, and if not, than it becomes a matter of international law and if you really want to go for it... you'll get to plead any case in about... 10 years.

Well I double chacked and it said prophecies and nothing about a trial but the email address still would not change.

Frankly, if someone get scammed by trying to buy an account in-game, I have little sympathy because it *is* strictly against the EULA. I'm of the opinion that parties caught buying and selling accounts (or trying to) in-game should simply be banned. Both the buyer and the seller. That way, you get rid of both the supply and the demand for such things, and a big enough penalty that it will dissuade others from doing the same.
If you do get scammed buying and selling accounts? Tough noogies, you didn't abide by the agreement you signed, and anything that comes your way is of your making.

Is not breach of contract in which you can be in a LAWsuit kinda showing that some law was broken, hence illegal, hence against the law, hence you get into a lawsuit?
I'm not a lawyer, but you must be in order to put out such technical mumbojumbo which is mere semantics and euphamisms for breaking a law and calling it not lawbreaking.
