witch towns and hunt while noobs and do quests?

Hi all totally new to Guild Wars and looks gr8 but have a question which for love or money can't seem to find a direct answer too.

Myself and wife brought it a coupel of weeks back to try out and loved it and with the new factions I wanted to be assasin.

Now she is playing a necro and I started an assasin as good idea as both new to game.

We both have factions installed and we both wanted to play together in a group. I know you can travel from factions town to the original (so noob i can't even remeber names of them yet) Don't want to miss out on quests and read osmewhere you start in a low lvl place first.

Has anyone got any good advise on this as we luv the characters but so wanna play together. don't mind waiting till like lvl 10 as long as we both can do quests together.

just want a basic idea as frustrated i can't find exact info yet and wanna stay on this character.

you can play together in Cantha, doing missiosn and quests.

In tyria, yur assassin cannot do quests, only the missions, before Lions Arch.

After Lions Arch you can do all Quests / Missions in Tyria.

So short answer, you can play together, but only when you both reah Lions Arch / Kainaing Center

Do you have the original Guild Wars Prophecies? I have yet to start a new character in Factions but if it`s like Prophecies you shold be able to team up from the start. When your in Pre-Searing in Phophecies you can form groups of 2. After you get to Post-Searing you can form groups of 4 and progress up to groups of 8. It should be the same for Factions.

If she plays through her missions until she reaches Lion's Arch, and you reach Kaineng Center, it will be easiest to meet up then. From there you can decide whether to pursue the Factions storyline or the Prophecies one.

But, if you both started your characters in the "Factions" Campaign, simply go to the same town, and then hit the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the screen and go to the same district. Hit P until a window comes up that says Party, then click the little text box and type the exact name of her character. Hit enter and WALLA!

As we are both new to this game and nothing to loose I think the best idea is to both start in factions town.

Aye, it is the best idea to start in the same game. Since Faction missions are build so that Foreign characters can't team up with local characters (or at least, one is, I have just defeated that one).

At the top left of your screen when you both get to the town you want just make sure your in the same district so you can party up. or select it when your map to that town.

I suggest you finish up faction first before going back to the orignal Prohpecies compain (town is called "Lion's arch") only saying this because faction is still new and all the scammers and bots are still there (sort of). And you won't get in the habbit of "looking for run to xxx" and skipping a lot of nice and neat areas. I'm glad they fixed that in factions.

Do read the stone tables near the storage in Shing Jea Monastery. It will go a long way. And me being from prophecies didn't know some of that stuff on it.

If you need help in any quest check out guildwiki.org. It almost holds your hand and walk you through the quest and misson. Be sure to contruibe when you can.

The CANTHAN characters cannot do missions (you push enter mission button - game displays character from non-allowed campain error) OR quests prior to lions arch (just no quests) with the possible exception of a few quests which give no skills - BUT my Canthan (factions) monk/ritualist is in ascalon and there are NO quests available and he cannot do the great northern wall.
