With each new chapter that comes out old armor always becomes non-fashionable. It is a season thing. Also, from what I've been reading here at guru, some new designs are hit or miss. Getting FoW armor is really expensive and the design is not always the best looking and... it gets out-dated. FoW armor should make other people jealous and in awe, a symbol of status/coolness (or whatever). Here is my suggestion to make FoW armors more special and really worth getting them:

FoW armor should have a special emote like HoH's emotes.

To distinguish it from the HoH emotes, instead of gold color... just use a different color. A-net could even make the emotes the profession's colors. W=orange; Ele=red; N=green, etc. This way people could tell a FoW armor emote apart from HoH emotes. Oh, and please make the emote last for like 30 seconds so your FoW looks cool longer. And you could use the mote in towns and outside towns.

It would be so awsome to have a special emote if your character is wearing a full set of FoW armor. These armors are supposed to be the armor of the gods right? So, they should glow or something!

Right now, most people stop at 15k armor because they cannot justify the cost of FoW armor. My suggestion would make them take that extra step into FoW.

Another idea: You could make all armor skins available as FoW. This way people can pick their armor skin and get the special emote suggested above. So, players would actually be purchasing the FoW emote and getting the armor skin they think looks best.

I've seen this "suggestion" somewhere, and it got shot down as quick as this one will be. Why is there a need for an emote that says "Look at me, look at me, I'm rich!(or was)" since the armor itself is an emote, and it is visible to all around you. And that is enough, seasoned players know how much time and gold goes into it. Plus idiots would abuse the emote; spamming it thinking that will get them in a group or something: "lolz u noob i hav FWo amror i pwn!!1!11" And for the record, this reasoning isn't coming from a cynical anti-FoW armor person; I have two sets and I do enjoy them a lot. But seriously, having an emote for this would get just plain silly.

This suggestion is retarded. Everyone can already see your armor. Everyone with half a clue, including the w/mo paladin using the 5-9(or whatever) damage fake crystalline sword cause it's ultra 1337.

There is no point, what about people with only one piece of FoW armor because they don't like the look of the entire set?

Oh and this would only encourage noobs to EBAY to get their FoW armor(too many already do).

Emote = PvP
FoW = PvE

Emote + FoW = PvE Char with Fow armor, do HoH in PvP

Its not problematic in a mathematical result

I dont care about the same Emote all the time, its not my problem who see players spaming over and over at HA. If you want emotes, go and earn it in PvP.

Roflmao! When will you guys wake up and understand that you're not gonna get any "I'm an awesome farmer and/or eBayer!" emote? If you are wealthy enough to afford FoW armor or one (or mutiple suits) of the 15k armors, that is your emote. One that's visible 100% of the time. I can't spam my PvP emote so that it's visible 100% of them time. Quit complaining. If you wanna flash rank, do what everyone else who has a /rank did: earn it.

well people flame this thread, but getting fow armor is alot harder than getting 180 fame.... i can get 180 fame for like 300k, and fow is 1 mill++, also you guys are just spamming that pve shouldnt get an emote cuz it wil be spammed, but look at most towns, i see emotes all day and people saying "beat that noob", just wish i could respond with a fow emote

Lmao, an emote is to show off your accomplishments. FoW is already shown, unlike fame wich is only shown through emote. I earned my FoW armor and I'm not complaining because I have no emote for it. If you want to be fair with the PvP'ers how about you can only wear your armor every 20 seconds?
if you want an emote earn it, if you feel FoW armor displayed on you is not enough then don't get it.

I've seen threads like this and time and time again, this idea is always disagreed with so drop it already.

Why would armor give you a shiny emote? This is classic PvE'r feeling insignificant because he doesn't have a sexy animal. You get sweet looking armors, that should be good enough. As its been said before me, the armor itself is the emote. Maybe my deer should have a baby deer? An emote having an emote is pointless. You can show how rich you are by wearing your FoW, before Titles came around, the ONLY way to show your rank was to 'mote.

The armor IS the sign of accomplishment (although it most probably is a sign of farming nowadays)

Your armor itself is the sign of how much it's worth, no emote requred. Also since somepeople have been able to get FOW w/o any effort, it's no longer a status of who worked hard for it. I do know there are those that worked hard for it and got it, but there are too many that did not (aka not worthy of a extra "reward" such as an emote).

I understand how you can see that FoW is already emote, but does that mean that any armor is an emote? I'm just suggesting to make FoW armor more special because the design of FoW is not good enough. Shouldn't FoW armor be something that everyone wants? Well, as it stands right now FoW armor kinda sucks in looks and doesn't justify me spending 1 mil on it and from this forums a lot of people agree with me. So, how to fix it? How to make FoW armor absoultely the best looking in the game? Cuz that is what FoW armor is all about. About vanity and looking good.

Anyway... looks like this idea is shot down anyway. I'll just keep on accumulating wealth and no where to spend it.

For example: Kurzick 15k looks much better than FoW! So, when I see Fow warrior I think, "he spent a lot of money and now it is an 'old armor."
