I just noticed that the Shin Jea Arena (accessible from Shin Jea Monastary) also counts into the exploration of Cantha.
Well this was my second character with whom i finally noticed this "feature" whereas my main Cantha char is already beyond the maximum level of 10 for accessing this Are(n)a.
So ... guess what ... how you gonna access this area later on?
No Way?
Considering the new titles which, i suppose, most people are after, this is kind of an unsatisfying discovery.
Or did i miss something?
Let me just say i could get very emotional about this question answered as i would expect...
Carthographing Cantha?

At this moment this is not possible. I think it's highly likely that Anet is working on something. I started with a Ranger in Cantha and can thus get full 100% of exploration in both games. But my question is: is this also possible with Ritualists or Assasins? I mean can they do all the mission in Tyria? If not, how can they ever come in the desert?

To that affect, we have modified titles accordingly, so that a character can receive a maximum title regardless of restrictions. In answer to your question, areas that Tyrian characters do not have access to in Cantha do not count towards the cartography title, and vis-versa...
um, not sure if im allowed to link

This is gonna solve your problem about the carthographing title.
But a few points are still missing. A canthan "Protector of Tyria" is still impossible. - Title progress window for canthan chars shows (X/25) for Tyrian Mission Completion which means you have to complete all missions + bonus. - The attempt to access e.g. "The Northern Wall" results in a massage like Quote:
<Character Name> may not play this mission. This mission may only be played by characters created in the Prophecies Campaign. | Your party contains a member from a disallowed campaign. They could exclude the cartographable area but they therefore need to exclude those missions, too. Seems like we can just hope on A.Net doing their stuff right? A??rendil
OUCH... hmm they will probally tell the same to my ranger.. I don't like the thought of that. Somehow i have the feeling that aNet did NOT think this through.. or they wanted it this way.. That you cant be both?
EDIT: Now that i have read the quote that i put up.. that occording to aNET you can get all the titles. Hope the quote of the quote is right :X |
