Whatever happened to reconnects?

I heard that with Factions, Anet would be introducing 'Reconnects' where you cna rejoin the party you were in should you error out. Today, I was donig Arborstone mission and dropped out, and was made to start over again. But that isnt the biggest problem; simply put, too many GvGs are ruined by error 7. Yesterday, there was a match between EW and Be team. One error 7 occurred on either team. Now this matches final result wasnt affected (at least not the way the match was going so far), but this is an example of the riduculous error7 problem. Last season, we had a match versus ZPZG; We were taken down to 7, and ZPZG to 6. Quite frankly, I doubt we would have won it had they not had these disconnects. Error 7 also ends attempts at everything else; HA, PvE missions, and even TA/RA. Thats another thing; if someoen errors out in TA, you cant continue anymore because you have a party of 3, but you need 4 to continue.

So basically what I'm asking; where did Reconnects go? So much is ruined by players diconnectign through no fault of their own, and if Anet has the ability to fix it, they should do so immediately.

all we hear is " they are working on it"

Honestly this should have been fixed the first week the game was released a year ago.....

Anet said they work working on it, but it won't be ready for factions. Realize that the server technology is the most complicated part of guildwars and creating an unexploitable system for doing this isn't a quick fix.

since it was designed for security to keep hackers OUT of the instances in the first place they are having to do serious work to get it done.

you heard what you WANTED to hear not what they said which was they were working on several ideas and when they find a way that is SECURE and works they will implement it and not before

same for auction house/improved trade.

when it is ready we will get it

Ok, thats not so bad then...what I heard was that it was ready and that they were waiting on factions to implement it. So...yeah, I feel a bit better now. I hope they are worknig hard on it

they have officially stated (from the head man) that they are aware it is one of the most requested features.

also it was stated that it was high on the to do list but for obvious reasons no delivery date can be given

if you look around the forums, you'll find a link to an interview with Jeff Strain, head of ANet, he EXPLICITLY states it in the interview which was about an hour long.
